The Golisano Pediatric Clinic at Franklin Park Elementary School is Now Open
Lee Health is proud to open a first of its kind health clinic with the opening of Golisano Pediatric Clinic on the campus of Franklin Park Elementary School. The unique facility offers whole health solutions for students, families, and other members of the Dunbar community right on the school grounds.
The collaboration is part of ongoing efforts with Lee Health, the Lee County School District, and the United Way. The location also offers support to local families through the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades.
The Golisano Pediatric Clinic will support the needs of the community, with sick visits, well-being checks, physicals, immunizations, and more. It will be open five days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The clinic is located as part of the campus of Franklin Park Elementary School at 2330 Henderson Ave, Ste 200.
The clinic is offering medical appointments and supporting common needs for local families, with the operation occurring right in the neighborhood. Appointments can be made utilizing MyChart or calling the facility directly at 239-343-9888. In the future, the clinic will also offer behavioral health support. Within the same facility, the United Way provides food, clothing, family engagement, education support, and more to parents and staff.
“We could not make this happen without the support of our amazing community partners and we are thrilled to be able to offer wellness services to students and families in this new location,” said Lee Health officer of community-based care Kris Fay. “This gives the community another space to receive the support and care they need. As Southwest Florida continues to grow, we are always looking for new ways to ensure that everyone has access to health and wellness near where they live and work. We know this facility will serve generations in the years to come and make a true difference. Thank you to our community partners who helped make this a reality.”
Franklin Park Elementary School is a Community Partnership School where a set of community partners collaborate to provide community resources to students and families. A Community Partnership School utilizes four pillars: Expanded learning, wellness supports, family and community engagement, and collaborative leadership. These pillars help focus its efforts in addressing barriers to success, such as hunger, poverty, lack of access to adequate healthcare, lack of educational supports, and other challenges the community faces, as identified by the community. The Lee County School District, United Way, Lee Health, and Florida Gulf Coast University partner to create the four organizations supporting the CPS programs.
“Franklin Park Elementary is our first true Community Partnership School and we are excited to see the Golisano Pediatric Center and the United Way open on campus," said Superintendent Dr. Ken Savage. "Embedding these essential support services within the school community ensures that our students, their parents, and their neighbors can all benefit. We look forward to the success and growth of our partnership.”
Through eliminating barriers to resources for students, staff, families, and the community, the Community Partnership Schools’ goal is to increase the chances of student success and well-being.
