Epic Training for Nursing Students & Faculty
Lee Health provides Epic training for the students and faculty of the surrounding educational facilities that include Epic in their nursing curriculum.
This training will be provided via a recorded WebEx. Use this page for all information and materials needed to conduct and proctor Epic training for your students. Please follow the Steps below.
Step 1: Submit Forms
This should be done as early as possible to ensure students have computer access their first clinical rotation.
- Student Access Request Form –Should include student’s start and end date and be signed by authorizing faculty member (page 1-2 of link)
- Student Confidentiality Form – Must signed by the student (page 3 of link)
Step 2: Request Room & Obtain Training Password
You MUST reserve a room at a LH facility to use for teaching your students Epic. Hands on practice can only be done at Lee Health to have access to the Epic training environment.
- Contact 239-343-8014 to reserve a room
- Request the current epictrain password
- Use this password to log into the computers in your training room
- This password changes every 90 days – be sure it is the current version

Please review the Checklist and print all materials PRIOR to the day of class!

- Assessment Answer Key (print one for instructor for grading assessment)

Faculty Requirements
- Clinical adjunct faculty must also attend training to satisfy Lee Health & Epic requirements
- This is to have a basic understanding of the Epic program to assist your students in their clinical rotation
- Current Lee Health employees using Epic are exempt
The recording can be accessed and viewed from your facility, however, students will not have hands on practice and still must pass the assessment with a score of 80%. This is not recommended but can be done if necessary.
