She recognizes that children with gastrointestinal issues require special attention regarding their diets, medications, and lifestyle choices. Therefore, she makes it a point to explain these aspects in a manner that is easy to comprehend, ensuring that families can make informed decisions and actively participate in their child's care. 

Josie firmly believes that an informed and engaged family is instrumental in achieving better long-term outcomes and an improved quality of life for the young patients she serves.
