Michael LaCorte, MD

(upbeat music) I’m Michael LaCorte and my specialty is Pediatric Cardiology. I am originally from New York I moved to Florida, to Naples, 7 years ago. I always wanted to be a pediatrician because I love working with kids and I was inspired by actually our family physician when I was a little kid. And I picked cardiology because one of my problems is I’m impatient I like to get information quickly and the beauty of Pediatric Cardiology is that you see the child, you can do a physical examination, listen to the heart, do an echocardiogram an EKG and you have your answer right away. I wanted to do something where I could potentially do it not full-time, because I had done full time work as an administrator and cardiologist forty years. And I came down here and was fortunate enough to be able to work with a group that was based in Tampa/St. Pete but then recently I was recruited to basically work here which was much closer to home and I'm very excited about it it’s just been a terrific experience so far. Two things I have a passion for his fantasy baseball, I don’t know if you know what that is but that something where you pick a team you do a draft and it can be very competitive. And the other is I like to collect watches and that can be a fairly expensive hobby except I know people who collect cars and that’s even more expensive so I enjoy my watch collection. I also enjoy watching my wife play tennis, even though I don’t play myself. (upbeat music)
