Meet the Doctor

I am Shristi Basnyat. I'm a rheumatologist. And I recently moved here with my family from south Jersey, the Philly area. I chose rheumatology, I felt like it chose me, but just because it's really challenging. It is super interesting. I'm someone who likes variety. And so just to see some bread and butter stuff, like gout, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis to some really rare autoimmune conditions. I chose Lee Health. First of all, I moved here because of my family and my husband's job. But I think right from the beginning, I was really pleasantly surprised at all the interactions that I had from the physicians that I spoke to, to during my interview, just everyone that I met was just so personable. And I felt like this was a place that I could continue to grow. I have a 21 month old, and I have an eight year old, and then I have a cat and a dog. So in my free time, I just enjoy spending time with them and going out. I do love music. I love dancing. I love Zumba. Yeah, just enjoying life.

I really loved Dr. Basnyat she had a positive and uplifting disposition and explained my disorder and the treatment plan in an easy to understand manner.
