Ring the bell, Addie!

When you need a princess full of laughter and sunshine, call Addie. She recently marked the end of more than two years of chemo and treatments for leukemia at Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Addie’s and her parents' life were turned upside down in September 2018 when they got the news that Addie had acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She needed platelets and a transfusion and immediately began treatment.

“The journey has been long. but we’ve prayed for today and for her to overcome this, we knew she could do it,” said Joycelin, Addie’s mom.

The family says prayer, their church community, friends, family and the resources shared by Golisano all helped keep them going through Addie’s more than two-year treatment. The family is thankful for the entire team at Golisano and all they’ve done to help their little girl get better.

The staff at the Barbara’s Friends pediatric hematology and oncology center on the 5th floor at Golisano says Addi'es always dressed up for every treatment, arriving looking like one of the many princesses to immediately enchant you.

Please help us in congratulating Addie!
