Licensed Clinical Social Workers

Committed to Exceptional Care

The team at Lee Health Behavioral Health Services is proud to provide the expertise of our licensed clinical social workers to meet the unique health needs of Southwest Florida. We also celebrate the achievements of our team members who have successfully completed the challenging coursework and tests needed for Board Certification by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.

To become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida, individuals first need to earn a master's degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). After that, they must finish 3,200 hours of supervised work experience, including at least 1,600 hours of direct client contact.

Achieving board certification requires therapists to demonstrate skill in various areas, such as direct patient care, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention. They must also show proficiency in patient education, understanding research, administration, and consultation.

At Lee Behavioral Health Services, our commitment is to provide the best care for our patients, promoting optimal mental health within our community.
