2 Day SUFLAVE/MiraLAX Two-Day Prep Instructions
Daily Medication
- If you take medicine for high blood pressure, seizures, breathing, or thyroid problems, take them with a small sip of water on the day of your Colonoscopy.
- Do NOT take NSAIDS like Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, or Aspirin on the day of your Colonoscopy.
- Follow your doctor’s instructions for diabetes medicines and blood thinners. You might need your doctor’s permission to stop these medicines.
- Stop taking iron pills, GLP1 agonists, and Phentermine (if taking them) 7 days before your Colonoscopy. A GLP1 is a self-injectable medication used for DM and/or weight loss.
Bowel Preparation
Your colon needs to be very clean for the Colonoscopy. If it’s not clean, the doctor might miss seeing something important, and you might have to do the Colonoscopy again.
Follow these instructions, not the ones that come with the medicine.
