Lee Health Home Infusion

Providing the best patient experience possible in the comfort of your home.

Since 1995, Lee Health Home Infusion has provided medications, treatment management, nursing resources, and insurance support to people requiring Home Infusion and Nutrition Support Therapies.

Lee Health Home Infusion utilizes a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, registered nurses, and registered dietitians who work together to provide compassionate care and personalized service. We routinely collaborate with other members of the healthcare community so our patients can get the best care possible in the comfort of their own home.

We are accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP), and we are able to deliver Medicare and Medicaid reimbursed therapies in a home care setting.

What is infusion therapy?

Infusion therapy is a way of administering medicine, nutrients or special fluids intravenously (IV) directly into the body. In most instances your healthcare provider has prescribed infusion therapy because it typically proves to be more effective than oral treatments.

Our infusion therapies are a safe and effective alternative to inpatient care. We have successfully completed our patients’ therapies 96 percent of the time at their home.

Used IV medication and any supplies can go in your household garbage. This includes IV tubing, syringes with no needles, empty bags/syringes or unused supplies.

For unused IV medication, you can also utilize one of the disposal drop boxes by the Lee County Sherrif’s Office with locations listed here: https://www.sheriffleefl.org/safely-discard-prescription-medications. If no drop boxes are readily available, unused medication may be thrown in the trash. Mix medicines with an unpalatable substance, such as dirt, kitty litter or used coffee grounds.

There are several ways you can dispose your sharps container. Refer to the instructions set out by the Florida Department of Health here: Sharps Disposal Program | Florida Department of Health in Lee County
