Cardiac Rehabilitation

A cardiac event can be unexpected, leaving patients wondering about what comes next. The first step in recovery is rehabilitation. Our comprehensive cardiac program is designed to help you recover and return to your active lifestyle.  At our facilites, you will receive a medically supervised and monitored cardiac exercise plan, as well as standardized education, to help you learn to care for your heart and eat well, while restoring your mobility. We offer these services at HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Unit at Gulf Coast Medical Center, or Skilled Nursing Unit at Lee Memorial Hospital.

Our highly skilled rehabilitation team includes nurses, social workers, therapists and advanced medical providers who work together to provide you with the care you need. The goal is to restore your health and help you return to your regular activities, from work to recreation.

Individualized Treatments Work for You 

All treatment plans are individualized, addressing cardiac impairments, as well as your personal needs. We provide you with a weekly therapy schedule that includes 5-7 sessions of both physical and occupational therapy, and speech therapy, if necessary. This comprehensive program will help ensure a successful outcome and a shorter length of stay so you can return home. Our education program is designed to help you learn to manage your heart condition and develop a healthier lifestyle.
