Lee Health Board of Directors Approve Move to System Medical Executive Committee

The Lee Health Board of Directors voted to approve a System Medical Executive Committee. To permit a reasonable transition period, the effective date of the new Medical Staff governance structure is the sooner of June 28, 2024, or the date by which the System Medical Executive Committee has been appointed and each of the facilities have confirmed completion of the elements required for compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, including the appointment of the Facility Medical Staff Operating Councils.
