Biography
Dr. Leandro Moraes earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in medical Oncology and Hematology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Moraes has been actively involved in clinical research on the topics of Multiple Myeloma and Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpes virus and has been involved in several quality improvments initiatives. He has also presented on topics such as Acute Myelogenous Leukemai and Acquired Hemolytic Anemia.
In his spare time, Dr. Moraes enjoys computer programming, electronics, motor racing, woodworking, gardening and travel. He is fluent in Portugeuse and coversational in Spanish.
