Pediatric Neonatal Transport

Who We Are and What We Do

Kid-friendly ambulances and proven distraction techniques to put kids at ease. The Pediatric Neonatal Transport Team -- a group of pediatric and neonatal critical care registered nurses, registered respiratory therapists, and EMT or paramedics -- transport pediatric or neonatal patients with a specialized kid-friendly ambulance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We have access to all the latest technology and research to improve health care for children, and our dedication helps children get the lifesaving help they need every single day.

Our training ensures we operate in a different way, and you will notice the distinction. We use proven distraction techniques such as iPads and other electronics, child-friendly equipment and instruments, and an ambulance interior that will immediately put patients at ease.

Services We Provide

  • Advanced airway management, mechanical ventilators and intubations
  • Inhaled nitric oxide
  • High risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
  • UAC/UVC placement
  • Pediatric resuscitation
  • IV/IO placement

Our Commitment to Serve

Research shows that pediatric patients transported by pediatric specialty teams have fewer unplanned events during transport, including the reduced likelihood of airway events, cardiopulmonary arrest, loss of IV access and sustained hypotension, and/or hypoxia without intervention.

For these reasons, when you need us, we’ll be there. It’s just another way Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida remains committed to the needs of the patients and communities we serve.
