Rehabilitation Helps You Recover After COVID-19

COVID-19 has been a challenge for all of us. And research shows that people who had the virus may find it difficult to return to full health. The return to full health is not only gradual, but recovering COVID-19 patients may also experience specific systems of concern including lung, heart, nerve, and cognitive function.

Do the symptoms below describe you or a loved one?

  • Increased difficulty with movement
  • Weakness – difficulty getting out of a chair without using your hands
  • Shortness of breath or breathing issues noticed with low-level activities
  • Difficulty with normal activities around your home or in the community
  • Use of supplemental O2 to participate in daily activities
  • Fatigue and limited endurance with normal activities
  • Poor balance or falling
  • Pain
  • Swallowing difficulties

Ask Your Doctor for a Rehabilitation Referral

Recovery after COVID-19 diagnosis may be more difficult and lengthy than anticipated. If you or a loved one notice any of the above problems, ask your doctor for a referral to rehabilitation.

Our physical, occupational, and speech therapists will perform a one on one evaluation to develop a program and work with you specifically based on your individual needs.
