Biography

When Dr. Maura Pipkins started medical school at age 50, she was already a wife, mother of three boys, and caregiver to her aging parents. Studying medicine while caring for her family helped her connect with patients and provide them with personalized health care. This experience also inspired her passion for both family medicine and women’s health issues.

Dr. Pipkins often finds that her patients are more concerned about taking care of others instead of taking care of themselves. She is passionate about helping her patients invest in their own health, so they’re empowered to live healthier lives while still helping their loved ones.

In her spare time she enjoys going to outdoor concerts, baseball games, and cooking without setting off the smoke alarm.

    Everyone at this practice is always professional and pleasant. This was my first experience with Dr. Pipkins. She was able to answer as many questions as she could given the test results. She ordered a second blood test. I had it done, and she reviewed it and corresponded with me about the second test the day she received the results. She has asked me to visit with my PCP, Dr. [ ], for follow up.

    Dr. Pipkins is a marvelous physician who is thorough and kind. She spent the entirety of my visit answering questions and going over my concerns. I would recommend her to family and friends in need of a family physician.
