Biography
Alicia has long been passionate about the field of cardiothoracic surgery. This field has allowed her to care for her patients at every step of the process, from pre-operative workup where she educates patients about their condition and interprets their testing, the intra-operative stage where she has performed open and endoscopic vein harvesting and assisted the surgeon throughout surgeries, and post-operative recovery where she has assisted in recovery at all stages and had the pleasure of seeing her patients return to happy and fulfilling lives.
Meet the Doctor
Hi there, my name is Alicia Croteau. I'm a physician assistant at Lee Health, and I'm from a small town in Maine called Berwick. I started at Lee Health in June of 2024, and I chose Lee Health because it was a community hospital that was very obvious that they cared greatly about the community, and the priority is their patients and nothing else, which is wonderful. I chose cardiothoracic surgery and the intensive care unit. It kind of dates back to years when I first started my bachelor's. I learned about EKGs, and it spiraled from there where I started learning more and more about the heart. And the more I got to seeing my patients and how we could impact their lives in such a positive manner, I took it from there and ran with it. My hobbies outside of work are paddle boarding, being outside, doing seashelling on the beach, and I like to spend a lot of time with my fiance', my two dogs, and my cat.
