Biography
Dr. Mick Eskender joins the Lee Health Heart Institute Shipley Cardiothoracic Center from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. There, he completed general surgery residency followed by cardiothoracic surgery fellowship, with training in complex heart and lung surgery including hybrid atrial fibrillation surgery, advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter endovascular aortic repair, and robotic/minimally invasive lung surgery. Originally from Atlanta, Dr. Eskender spent most of his life in the Midwest and graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Biology and Pharmacy before completing medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
