Biography

Karisa Brown, MD, was inspired to work in the healthcare field as she grew up spending time around her grandparents, who were both paramedics. She quickly realized her passion for serving others and began pursuing her medical career. During her clinical rotations in medical school, Dr. Brown found her ultimate calling in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Brown enjoys the diversity that the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers. This specialty allows you to bring new life into the world and to care for women throughout many stages of life, from childbearing years to menopause. The opportunity to perform surgeries, including minimally invasive techniques and in-office procedures, are other desirable aspects of this specialty.

Dr. Brown is a Southwest Florida native and is excited to have the opportunity to provide care for patients in her community.

    This was my first appointment with Karisa. I have been a long time patient and have met several different staff over the last 15+ years. Karisa was so kind, attentive, and professional. She did not appear to be in a rush and was thorough in the appointment.

    What an amazing doctor! I've truly never felt better about seeing an OB/gyn, she listened to all of my medical concerns and really took the time to explain things to me. Her medical assistant, Mariallane, was awesome as well. Very sweet and sensitive when aski ng tough questions. Both doctor and MA work very well together! I felt empowered to make my own medical decisions and didn't feel pressured. I would highly recommend Dr Brown to anyone, even though she is tough to get into. Thank you both!
