We're here today to help you with getting out of bed when you're at home by yourself and you don't have anybody to help you so what you're going to need to do is you're going to hug a pillow to your chest cuz we don't want you using your arms to get up because you just had surgery and you don't want to injure yourself any further than you have restrictions okay so what you want to start with doing is you're going to bend your knees up so you can use your legs to help push you and what we're going to do is eating your legs you're going to roll yourself onto your side for your end of the bed once you're at the edge of the bed you're going to bring your legs off the bed and you're going to kind of hook them on the edge of the bed and use your legs to help sit you up on the side of the bed perfect and then you'll want to kind of pause for a minute make sure you're not dizzy and then to get back into bed we're just going to do the opposite of what you just did so keep your pillow so that you're not tempted to use your arms and what we're going to do is you're going to come down onto your side nice and easy bring your legs up onto the bed and then use your legs to help roll yourself over onto your back perfect and that's how you're going to do that at home when you don't have anybody to help you.
