About:
The Quality and Patient Safety division supports the strategic goals of Lee Health by pursuing the highest standards of safety and healthcare quality with continuous improvement to achieve better health for our patients, staff, and community. The following exist as guiding priorities: Reducing harm that occurs as a result of delivery of healthcare, Ensuring safety through education, monitoring, and process improvement to establish and maintain an environment of safety for all healthcare personnel and patients, Promoting the most effective prevention and treatment practices including monitoring of hospital acquired conditions, Identifying and facilitating process improvement initiatives, Monitoring errors and corrective action plans to establish continuous improvement, Developing methods to track and predict quality outcomes, Utilizing national benchmarking certifications and organizations to validate quality targets and opportunities for improvement (Leapfrog, CMS 5 Star, ISO certification).
