Biography

Becoming a doctor was an easy choice for Dr. Manoel Moraes, who finds a great source of inspiration in his patients. Seeing the extreme needs they go through and the courage, the resilience and the dignity with which they face their problems continually motivates him to try to make a positive difference in their lives. "What I am mostly proud of is to deliver state-of-the-art treatment with above all compassion." Compassion is the guiding value behind Dr. Moraes' relations with patients and their families.

Dr. Moraes has over 30 years of experience in Oncology and Hematology. Upon graduating from Medical School in Brazil, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Grant Hospital in Chicago.  After residency, he received his fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Moraes is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and treats most types of cancers including Lymphomas, Chronic Leukemias, Multiple Myeloma, Lung, Breast, Prostate and Colon, as well as blood disorders such as anemias, low platelet count and clotting disorders.

    Dr. Morales was excellent and describing and consulting me on my medication situation. Explain the reasons why I arrived at my decision very confidently. I am taking his advice and get on without the medication every doctor a doctor Moraes should take the time to inform the patients on the situation as well as he did

    The Nurse I always see there is very polite and accommodating. I think her name is Yessenia she has blonde hair. She's always very nice, professional speaks highly about Dr.Moraes. Dr.Moraes is always smiling and happy to explain any questions I have. He's cla iming demeanor is essential.

    I have been to see Dr. Moraes a couple of times now. He is one of the best doctors I have and I am seeing quite a few. He has been so informative, kind, professional and prompt with reviewing tests. He is excellent in answering questions and in calming me with any fears or concerns I may have. I am not very great with having to go to and see doctors but I never question myself when I have to see Dr. Moraes. He is a terrific credit to LHS. He is fantastic!
