Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

What is Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL)?

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is an immune system cancer that affects the lymphatic system. It happens when lymphocytes, which are white blood cells, grow into tumors.

Although a variety of cancers have the potential to move to the lymph nodes, only tumors that begin in the lymph tissue are classified as lymphomas.

There are B-cell lymphoma and T-cell lymphoma; most types of NHL have some categorization. From the American Cancer Society, there are around 85% of B-cell lymphoma cases in the United States.
